Welcome to RCHS! I'm Mrs. Stephanie Davisson. I have been teaching music and fine art classes at Rensselaer since 2004 and coaching Varsity Girls Golf since 2006. I grew up in Rensselaer and graduated from RCHS in 1985. In high school I lettered in sports like golf (started on the first team-1982), track (throwing disc and shot), and basketball (first sectional winning team with Coach Terry Butler '85). I also participated in musicals every year, 'Guys and Dolls', 'Camelot', 'How to Succeed in Business', and 'Grease' and sang with the competitive show choir, 'Celebrate'. I enjoyed clubs like Chess Club, Sigma Digamma, Bomber Alert Core, as well as Speech Club, and of course Sunshine. It is nice to know that several of these clubs are still offered. I have a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance(Voice Training)from IU/Methodist College and a Teaching Certificate in Music Education K-12 from Saint Joseph College (IN). My Masters is in Educational Psychology with a certification in Gifted and Talented Learning. I am presently finishing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership and plan on becoming an Elementary Principal someday at a Fine Art Based school. Before coming back to Rensselaer, I lived in North Carolina for 15 years. There my husband, Tod, served in the military for 7 years and we began our family. We have three wonderful children; Terry, Ben, and Katie. Favorite quote: 'Effort does not require Talent' You can find this quote hanging in the football locker room at Western Michigan University where my sons Terry and Ben played D1-football. Go Broncos!
